This hotel has clearly invested in high level hospitality with very big rooms, excellent bathroom and hot water shower. Beds and excellent. Dinner at night was a bit disappointing with meat not sufficiently cooked at first and then very chewy even though it was the chef’s recommendation. However breakfast on the terrace was excellent

Excellent hotel. Very friendly staff. Porters carry luggage upstairs since no elevator.
The room was spacious with comfortable bed and pillows. Clean bedsheets and towels. Shower was hot and fair volume of water. Overhead rain head and also handheld. Fan in room, no AC. Mini fridge and safe. Good internet everywhere but it does drop and you have to reconnect.
Breakfast was eggs, homemade warm fresh roll, 2 pastries, jam, butter, juice, yogurt, tea and coffee
Supper was delicious especially the pizza

16th May
Hotel Artisan

Chez Victor Manarintsoa, Ambositra 306 Madagascar

This hotel is very original, it is a classic among Europeans visiting Madagascar. It is all made in classic local wood. The rooms are cabins there are simple and duplex like the one that touched us. They have a double bed and then upstairs another smaller bed with its window too. There's no fridge. The bathroom is not bad although it has cloth curtains but clean. The best was also his restaurant eats delicious, we ate a super rich orange duck. There is atmosphere with music at dinner. I really liked the truth. At breakfast you have to know how to choose because as it happened to us we ordered a simple breakfast and a full one and they bring you a whole loaf of bread for each one. The room is charged by the person in the restaurant (a woman with glasses) at the same time as dinner, quite unpleasant with very bad mood is the only glue I put to the hotel.

Pays Zafimaniry

Ambositra and its region are listed as UNESCO world cultural heritage. It is also a subject of astonishment, with its different means of transport, which the Malagasy people, rather poor, invent as they wish and their means!

A visit to the city, nestled around the RN7, which crosses it, allows you to see the artisans at work, who practice their art in the traditional way. There we find in particular, wood carvers, weaving, notably silk, with either traditional Betsileo or modernized motifs, marquetry, who produce beautiful compositions, as well as jewelers. Some galleries exhibit paintings by local artists. The “Roses & Baobab” association runs a gallery to showcase the country’s art and crafts.
