Kamphaeng Phet
Kamphaeng Phet (Thai: กำแพงเพชร, pronounced [kām.pʰɛ̄ːŋ pʰét]) is a province in upper central Thailand. Kamphaeng Phet known its natural environment and has a long history. National and historical parks in the province include Kamphaeng Phet Historical Park, Khlong Lan National Park, and Mae Wong National Park.

Kamphaeng Phet is home to a notable endemic member of the Gesneriaceae family: Damrongia cyanantha(formerly classified as Chirita cyanantha).
This specific plant, locally known as "ผักกาดหินคลองลาน" (Phak Kat Hin Khlong Lan), grows on moist granitic rocks and slopes along the Khlong Lan Waterfall in dry evergreen to mixed deciduous forests at an altitude of about 300 meters.
Gesneriaceae
Kamphaeng Phet Province is a hotspot for the Gesneriaceae plant family (known locally as the ชาฤาษี or "Hermit's Tea" family). Its rich, moist, and shaded environments—particularly around Khlong Lan National Park—harbor several narrowly endemic, highly localized species of these flowering herbs.

- Damrongia cyanantha: This is a localized and endemic species of the genus Damrongia. It features beautiful blue/cyan flowers and thrives on moist granitic rocks and near the waterfall slopes of Khlong Lan National Park.
- Henckelia moniliformis (Siriphan / ดาวสร้อยไข่มุก): An incredibly rare plant that was once missing from global records for 113 years before being officially found again in the wild. It features delicate, bell-shaped flowers with pearl-like inner hair structures.
- Petrocodon bonii: Though found in a few other provinces, this species is noted in botanical records as existing in Kamphaeng Phet. It is a rare, hairy Gesneriad that grows on shaded limestone cliffs in primary forest.
- Microchirita involucrata: A compact Gesneriad studied by researchers at Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University. It is noted for both its attractive floral morphology and its strong secondary metabolite profile (antioxidant and antibacterial properties).
