Chaiyaphom
Chaiyaphum (Thai: ชัยภูมิ, pronounced [tɕʰāj.jā.pʰūːm]; Northeastern Thai: ไซยภูมิ, pronounced [sa᷇j.jā.pʰu᷇ːm]) is one of Thailand's seventy-six provinces (changwat), located in central northeastern Thailand, also called Isan. Neighboring provinces are (from north clockwise) Khon Kaen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Lopburi, and Phetchabun.

There are a total of six national parks, of which four are in region 7 (Nakhon Ratchasima) and Nam Nao in region 11 (Phitsanulok) and Nam Phong in region 8 (Khon Kaen) of Thailand's protected areas. (Visitors in fiscal year 2024)[5]

Provincial government
Tat Ton National Park
The park's most popular attraction is Tat Ton waterfall, 6 metres (20 ft) high but expanding to 50 metres (160 ft)width during the rainy season months from May to October. Other waterfalls in the park include Tat Fa, Pha Lang and Pha Song Chan
Flora and fauna
The park's forests are dipterocarp and dry evergreen. Tree species include Shorea roxburghii, Shorea obtusa, Dipterocarpus tuberculatus, Irvingia malayana, Calophyllum polyanthum, Shorea siamensis, Xylia xylocarpa, Sindora siamensis, Garcinia celebica, Dalbergia oliveri, Memecylon ovatumand Vietnamosasa pusilla.
Gesneriaceae
Chaiyaphum province supports a rich diversity of the Gesneriaceae (African violet) family. These plants are typically found growing in damp, shaded habitats, often among limestone crevices and along sandstone riverbanks.
- Microchirita: The region is notably diverse in this genus, with notable species like หยาดผาผึ้ง Microchirita limbata(found in Khon San, Wat Tham Huangpoo ) ที่เขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าผาผึ้ง อำเภอคอนสาร and หยาดวานรพักตร์ Microchirita simia.
- Microchirita hypocrateriformis: สวนสวรรย์ A succulent herb with soft, pale yellow or purple tubular flowers, largely endemic to the limestone hills of Northeastern Thailand. The type specimen for this species was collected at Wat Tham Huang Po in Khon San, Chaiyaphum.
