Si Saket
Sisaket province (Thai: ศรีสะเกษ, RTGS: Si Sa Ket, pronounced [sǐː sàʔ kèːt]; Northern Khmer: ซีซะเกด) is one of Thailand's seventy-six provinces (changwat). It lies in lower northeastern Thailand, a region called Isan. Neighboring provinces are (from west clockwise): Surin, Roi Et, Yasothon, and Ubon Ratchathani. To the south it borders Oddar Meancheay and Preah Vihear of Cambodia.
National park
There is one national park, along with five other national parks, make up region 9 (Ubon Ratchathani) of Thailand's protected areas.

Wildlife sanctuaries
There are two wildlife sanctuaries, along with four other wildlife sanctuaries, make up region 9 (Ubon Ratchathani) of Thailand's protected areas.
- Huai Sala Wildlife Sanctuary, 380 km2(150 sq mi)
- Phanom Dong Rak Wildlife Sanctuary, 316 km2 (122 sq mi)
Si Saket, the Gesneriaceae family (commonly known as the African violet or Cha Rusi family) is primarily represented by rare, deciduous epilithic (rock-dwelling) herbs.
The following specific species are found in and around Si Saket and neighboring Eastern and Southeastern Thai provinces:
- Microchirita involucrata: This species is recorded in the Eastern and Southeastern flora zones, including Si Saket and Chanthaburi. It is characterized by its distinct bracteate inflorescences.
- Microchirita poilanei / Microchirita rupestris: Historical botanical surveys and revisions by the National Parks Board (NParks) note collections of closely related Microchirita plants in the Khao Yai and Sisaket areas, with taxonomists urging further field collection in these specific localities.
พบพืชในวงศ์ Gesneriaceae (วงศ์ชาฤาษี) ในจังหวัดศรีสะเกษ โดยเฉพาะบริเวณเทือกเขาพนมดงรักและอุทยานแห่งชาติเขาพระวิหาร ชนิดพันธุ์ที่โดดเด่นและพบได้แก่:
- ข้าวก่ำดงรัก, ม่วงดงรัก Didymocarpus dongrakensis B. L. Burtt เขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าพนมดงรัก ศรีษะเกษ กรกฎาคม-สิงหาคม
- ชาฤๅษีดงรัก Paraboea pubicorolla Z.R.Xu & B.L.Burtt: เป็นพืชถิ่นเดียว (Endemic) ของไทย พบตามซอกหินหรือบนก้อนหินในป่าดิบแล้งที่ความสูงประมาณ 500 เมตร ลักษณะเด่นคือใบรูปรี แผ่นใบด้านล่างมีขนละเอียดสีเทาคล้ายขนแกะ และออกดอกเป็นช่อกระจุกสีม่วงหรือสีขาว
- พรหมมาสตร์ Paraboea burttii Z.R.Xu: พืชในสกุลเดียวกันที่พบได้ตามป่าดิบแล้งและป่าเบญจพรรณ โดยเฉพาะบนเขาหินปูน
นอกจากนี้ ยังมีพืชในวงศ์ชาฤาษีอีกหลายชนิดที่พบได้ในป่าอนุรักษ์ทั่วภูมิภาค
